Has your computer got slow? Its time to speed it up

Fed up of your computer's slow processing speeds, here is the sauce for it.
  1. Go to start menu >> run >> type "msconfig" (without the quotes) >> click OK
    From The Tech Sauce
  2. Go to startup >> uncheck all those applications you dont need to run (like adobe acrobat, uTorrent, etc.)
    From The Tech Sauce
  3. Now go to the services tab >> check the "Hide all Microsoft services" check-box >> uncheck all services you dont need to run >> click OK >> restart windows
This prevents all unwanted applications from running during startup and hence windows loads faster.
Other steps you can take are:
  1. keep the free disk space of C:/ high. Save your data in other drive partitions.
  2. delete all temporary files. For Windows 7, go to C:/ >> users >> Administrator(or your profile name) >> AppData >> temp. Now delete all files in this folder.
  3. Before doing all this you must unhide all hidden files and protected system files. To know more about this, click here
  4. For Windows XP, go to C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings. Now delete the following two folders: Temp, and Temporary Internet Files.
  5. If you are unable to unhide the hidden folders, just copy the URL below and paste it in the address bar(found just below the menu bar) :
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp
And, C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
Now, delete all files in these folders

EasyTip: An easy way to maintain your system is to install Tune Up Utilities. Just run Tune Up 1-Click Maintenance once in a month and just forget about system slowdown.
