You are at the right place if you are feeling helpless on receiving this error message- "Windows cannot open USB drive due to corrupted files. You need to format the disk."
Here are the steps to fix it:
1. Go to Start >> All Programs >> Accessories >> Run
2. Or simply press Windows key + R
3. Type cmd and hit enter.
4. Type chkdsk H: /F (where H: is your USB drive letter) and hit enter.
