Yeah, I know you have your eyes on all that GBs of data your friends possess. Portable hard disks make it easy to transfer data seamlessly. But not all can afford them, so here are some other options to transfer data between computers:
1. Sharing data using 'homegroups'.
2. Transferring files through 'Transfer Files and settings'.
Share data using 'Homegroup' (only works with Windows 7)
Open Control Panel >> Networking and sharing center >> click on Homegroup at the bottom left corner.
Alternately, you can click on networking icon at the right corner of Taskbar >> open Networking and sharing center >> click on Homegroup.
Transfer files using 'Transfer files and settings' wizard
Click on Start >> Accessories >> System tools >> Files and settings transfer wizard
